Welcome to the blog for Lymm Angling Club's Junior Section. Here you will find out what is going on in the Junior section.

Under the Junior section we offer two services. Firstly operating under Lymm Angling Club's Academy we offer free places to an 'Introduction to Angling' course. A four-week intensive training course designed to teach the basics to those have never or rarely been fishing. After completing the course you will be able to fish to with very little assistance/supervision. Our Academy is based at Woodside Pool, Dutton. And secondly, leading on from this we offer a competitive element to our junior section for those with more experience. There is a less intensive coaching experience under match conditions. We intend to gather junior and advance to a level to do well at National and Regional Competitions against the best young talent in angling.

For more information click here about the upcoming Autumn Series. To book your place on either section please click here to download a welcome pack and email to the junior co-ordinator.

Spring Series openning event

Sunday was the first match in the Spring Series, we had 13 children aged 8-15 take part in the event. Ability ranged from complete novice upwards. All caught fish with the fish starting to move but bites were at times hard to come by. The highlight of the day was one on one coaching from top angler Andy May. Andy spent time with everyone in the match going through their rigs and feeding habbits. In the match Kyle Hickman benefited most from Andy’s coaching with a net of tench, crucian carp and silver for 10lb 4oz, Second was James Mayer in his first match with 4lb 3oz, Third Connor Higham 3lb 4oz including a 2lb 2oz Roach. Conor Lindley 2lb 11, Alex Warham 2lb 2oz.
